Making Democracy Work

Citizenship in Action

The League of Women Voters of Asheville-Buncombe County is a non-partisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League never supports or opposes particular candidates or political parties.

Women's Leadership Panel

For Women's History Month, the Asheville-Buncombe League of Women Voters is holding a panel discussion with some of our most prominent and effective local women leaders. The discussion this year will be the challenges women in politics face both within their personal lives and the political arena. Speakers will include Terry Van Duyn, Susan Fisher and Esther Mannheimer. We hope you can join us!
